David Scibetta appointed to Business Technology Association East District Board

JFP_2989Buffalo, NY – Copier Fax Business Technologies’ EVP and CIO, David Scibetta has been named a board member for the East District of the Business Technology Association (BTA).  He is the only member representing Western New York, for a district that spans from Ohio, and across the Northeast to the New England States.

Founded in 1926, the BTA is an international not-for-profit trade association serving independent dealers, value-added resellers, systems integrators, manufacturers, and distributors in the office technology industry.  BTA provides members of their association various services, including various studies, surveys, industry news, and free legal advice.

Scibetta has received national recognition for his leadership in the office technology industry on numerous occasions over the last few years. In 2015, he was asked to be a speaker at the Executive Connection Summit at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona.  This summit included leaders from Konica Minolta, SAP, INTEL, Samsung, and SHARP as attendees.  He was also recently named a “Young Influencer” by the Cannata Report, a national publication for office products and workflow solutions dealers.  Scibetta also frequently speaks about best practices at DocuWorld, an annual international conference held by DocuWare, which is a world leader in office software.

Scibetta joined Copier Fax Business Technologies in 1997 to oversee software expansion in the company, which up until that point focused on hardware, and was the largest Konica Minolta dealer in Western New York.  Through David’s leadership, Copier Fax launched Documentelligence, a proprietary solution service that encompasses hardware, software, document management, IT, and security services.  From this launch, Copier Fax became one of the largest full-service office technology providers in Western New York, and was recognized as an Elite Dealer from 2011 – 2015 by ENX Magazine; won the Dealer Award of Excellence in 2011; and named by Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Companies in America in 2008, 2010, 2013 – 2015.

Scibetta’s term officially began on July 1st, with expectations of an executive board position to be named after his first year on the board.

 

 

 

Copier Fax Business Technologies Welcomes Alysa Hudson

Alysa HudsonBuffalo, NY – Copier Fax Business Technologies is pleased to announce the hiring of Alysa Hudson as an I.T. and Documentelligence Specialist.  Hudson is a recent graduate of ITT Technical Institute, with an associate’s degree in Network Systems Administration.  Hudson will be joining the award-winning Copier Fax service team to work on printer networking, installations, and data issues and manage network services for Copier Fax customers.

The Copier Fax service team has been nationally recognized as one of the top-performing office technology service departments in the country by Konica Minolta.  CFBT is a “Pro-Tech Certified” dealership, which is awarded by Konica Minolta only to the top 10 percent performing Konica Minolta dealerships in the country.  Copier Fax has been named a Pro-Tech Certified dealer for nine years in a row.

Copier Fax is the largest Konica Minolta dealership in Western New York and is considered the leading Office Technology Company.  Since the launch of Documentelligence in 2012, they have been frequently recognized both nationally and internationally for their performance, and best practices in the office technology industry.

 

CFBT hires Brad Hudak as an Account Manager.

Brad joined the CFBT team in April 2016, and brings with him several years of experience in business solutions related industries.  His combination of organization skills, solutions driven approach, and office technology experience has already made him a fantastic fit with the CFBT team.   

Brad will be covering the Downtown Buffalo territory.  

CFBT President Named to Konica Minolta Dealer Advisory Council

JFP_3451 (2)Copier Fax Business Technologies President and Owner, Al Scibetta has been named to the Konica Minolta Dealer Advisory Council.  His term on the council begins on May 23rd in Fort Worth, Texas, as Konica Minolta officially kicks off its next fiscal year.

Al Scibetta has owned Copier Fax Business Technologies for over 25 years, and his dealership is the largest Konica Minolta provider in Western New York.  This invite to the council is yet another extension of his strong relationship with Konica Minolta, which is a world leader in office technology equipment.  In addition to numerous awards and recognitions from Konica Minolta, Scibetta, along with his son David are frequently asked to speak at various Konica Minolta conferences and workshops about best practices.

In 2014, Copier Fax Business Technologies partnered exclusively with Konica Minolta to be the official office technology company of the Buffalo Sabres.  This sports sponsorship is one of only a few partnerships that Konica Minolta has collaborated with for sports marketing throughout the country.

As a Konica Minolta Dealer Advisory Council Member, Scibetta will be working with top Konica Minolta executives to provide input into improving dealer relationships.  This would include every aspect of dealer partnerships, including continual education, sales support, pricing, and more.

CFBT Receives Service Award for 9th Straight Year

2016PROTECH PROUD WINNERBuffalo, NY – Copier Fax Business Technologies, one of the largest office equipment and software companies in Buffalo, NY, has been honored with the 2016 Pro-Tech Service Award from Konica Minolta.  This award recognizes Konica Minolta dealerships that demonstrate the highest commitment to customer support and satisfaction and is only awarded to the top 10% of the company’s dealerships.

Led by Director of Service, Jim Bodie, Copier Fax is the only dealership within 150 miles of Western New York to receive this honor and is one of only a few Konica Minolta dealers in the country to receive this honor for nine years in a row.

To attain the Pro-Tech standard, each element of Copier Fax Business Technologies’ operation was evaluated and measured, including its management skills, inventory control systems, technical expertise, dispatch systems, and customer satisfaction ratings.

CFBT Named Best Places to Work in WNY

image002Copier Fax Business Technologies has been named by Buffalo Business First as one of the Best Places to Work in WNY.  This is the third year in a row that CFBT has been honored with this nomination.

CFBT has made great efforts to continually have a strong, family-like work environment.  From monthly birthday celebrations to company picnics, and an “open-door” policy with management, CFBT is proud to have the efforts have been recognized.

This past month, CFBT launched their first monthly internal newsletter, to improve communications on all levels, and they also launched their first “Employee of the Month” program.

CFBT celebrated this honor on Wednesday, March 16th at the Buffalo Business First Best Places to Work luncheon, held at Buffalo Riverworks. Although CFBT did not place in the top three of the small business category (25-49 Employees), it was still a great honor to be among the other nominated businesses, in this very select group.
