JFP_2989Buffalo, NY – Copier Fax Business Technologies’ EVP and CIO, David Scibetta has been named a board member for the East District of the Business Technology Association (BTA).  He is the only member representing Western New York, for a district that spans from Ohio, and across the Northeast to the New England States.

Founded in 1926, the BTA is an international not-for-profit trade association serving independent dealers, value-added resellers, systems integrators, manufacturers and distributors in the office technology industry.  BTA provides members of their association various services, including various studies, surveys, industry news, and free legal advice.

Scibetta has received national recognition for his leadership in the office technology industry on numerous occasions over the last few years. In 2015, he was asked to be a speaker at the Executive Connection Summit at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona.  This summit included leaders from Konica Minolta, SAP, INTEL, Samsung and SHARP as attendees.  He was also recently named a “Young Influencer” by the Cannata Report, a national publication for office products and workflow solutions dealers.  Scibetta also frequently speaks about best practices at DocuWorld, an annual international conference held by DocuWare, which is a world leader in office software.

Scibetta joined Copier Fax Business Technologies in 1997 to oversee software expansion in the company, which up until that point focused on hardware, and was the largest Konica Minolta dealer in Western New York.  Through David’s leadership, Copier Fax launched Documentelligence, a proprietary solution service that encompasses hardware, software, document management, IT and security services.  From this launch, Copier Fax became one of the largest full service office technology providers in Western New York, and was recognized as an Elite Dealer from 2011 – 2015 from ENX Magazine; won the Dealer Award of Excellence in 2011; and named by Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Companies in America in 2008, 2010, 2013 – 2015.

Scibetta’s term officially began on July 1st, with expectations of an executive board position to be named after his first year on the board.
