This month, Copier Fax Business Technologies had the honor of being selected as an Elite Dealer for 2019. This is our 8th year in a row receiving this prestigious honor from ENX Magazine. The publication will be released next month.

Why did we win this? There is absolutely no doubt that we have the best team in the business. We have the best products, the best technician service, the best customer service, and the best clients.

“In our eyes, an Elite Dealer makes a

concerted effort to produce a winning experience for not just its clients, but its employees and vendors as well,” said

Susan Neimes, managing editor of ENX Magazine and ENX The Week In Imaging.

“A defined corporate culture and a willingness to embrace new technologies—and share them with their customer base—also goes a long way. There’s no one ingredient behind an Elite Dealer—it’s a confluence of many factors that lifts these performers above the rest.”

Top 3 Things To Know About The Windows 7 To 10 Upgrade

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft will end support for its Windows 7 operating system as part of a long-planned shift to Windows 10. And a recent survey by Kollective revealed that two-thirds of businesses surveyed had yet to develop a strategy to migrate to Windows 10. One-fifth didn’t even know Microsoft was planning to withdraw support for Windows 7.[1]

And so we put together the top 3 things that you should know about the end of Windows 7 to properly prepare your business for a successful upgrade.

  1. What does this upgrade mean?

Organizations that fail to transition to Windows 10 before year-end will lose ongoing support for security updates, security patches, and online technical content updates. In fact, customer support for Windows 7 will cease to exist. But, from a risk perspective, the failure to migrate could be catastrophic because security patches ensure that your devices are always protected.

  1. How should I go about learning more to make the switch?

Your IT department should help select the technology that you need to operate your business effectively. More organizations than not, unfortunately lack a full-time IT department, and so large scale upgrades like this, can be challenging and on occasion, missed. Konica Minolta’s IT Services division, All Covered, can help to provide direction and advice to any organization who feel lost or troubled by this upgrade. Additionally, All Covered can assist to complete the responsibilities of a full time IT department to perform the install, integrate, and train employees while also providing desktop support to fix any system issues.

  1. How will my organization benefit?

By upgrading now – your business can work to transition out older operating systems without the pressure of a 30 day deadline. Installing the new Windows 10 will boost productivity because its startup is 28% faster as compared to Windows 7. Additionally, its regular updates are designed to be just as easy for in-office employees and remote workers as well. The most important reason to upgrade now is to keep your business safe. Microsoft has worked diligently to create an operating system that is primarily focused on security for any business. The added layers of security include facial and fingerprint login, encryption of data on hard drives, and built in malware and virus protection.

After a 10 year run, Windows 7 has come to a bittersweet end for Microsoft and there is an excess of information published about upgrading to Windows 10. If you feel completely bombarded about where to start – we’re here to help. Let us take the burden off your shoulders, contact your Documentelligence™ representative today!
